I went to Palm Sunday mass with my family and in-laws. Afterward, we went to one of said in-laws for lunch. A member of my sister-in-law's family just announced that, after going $110,000 in debt to get a Bachelor's in Celtic Cinematic Theory from Merdelorde College, he is going to law school. He is confident and optimistic in spite of the fact that he was accepted into Jefferson, Cooley, Florida Coastal and DeVry, but was not offered a scholarship by any of them. No problem, he says: He can get another $200,000 in guaranteed student loans.
And, just yesterday, I became a shareholder in Sallie Mae.
